summer maxi

Last fall I bought a maxi dress on a whim at the Gap. It was on sale, I love gray and white stripes, I couldn't resist. Last week I wore it for the first time and was a bit unsure. Maxi dresses can do weird things to the body, and horizontal stripes over my hips? eek. I took some quick snapshots at school. Yay or nay? How would you style this look?

playing catch up

I've been gone for ages, but for good reason! Critique, apartment searching in Dallas, alterations, dress rehearsal, fashion show, graduation, and now I'm preparing for a 2 week trip to Australia! I haven't even been around to do a weekend in photos post, so here are some snapshots saved up. They're all out of order...

Monday Outfit

I did not want to get out of bed this morning - my tummy hurts and the last thing I wanted to do was go stand and work in the studio all day. So I at least wanted to be comfy. Hello, loose oversized sweater and leggings. I added the combat-ish boots from Target because they make me feel like I'm gonna get stuff done. Even though I left school after 2 hours and didn't really get anything done. :)

Must "add to cart"

I'm in a vintage state of mind lately, and this dress has me daydreaming about time traveling to the '50s and strolling down a Parisian boulevard. Doesn't it seem so Audrey? I'd pair this set with some really fun red pumps, like these adorable suede scalloped edge heels or some fun little bows. And my grandmother recently gave me a really cute cap that she wore on her honeymoon, almost 61 years ago, that I think would go just perfectly.
Lovely!
